Collaborations

The LabSpace is a great host for collaborative activities and projects. It provides a free area where partners or members of an organisation can collaborate on the research and development of open educational resources.

These collaborative areas have the full functionality of other LabSpace units and the full suite of tools are available. In some cases we allow access to these units to be restricted to the collaborators, who are given a password. Such restrictions are only available for an agreed period while they do work they do not want to immediately share with others.

The types of collaborative units that we currently support are:

  • Research and development collaborations.
Partners evaluating the processes of making and remaking open educational resources.
  • Resource development collaborations.
Collaborative work trying to make or remake open educational resources aimed at a particular audience.
  • User collaborations.
Sharing experiences in delivering and supporting open educational resources to certain audiences.

The full list of current collaborations can be found here. If you would like to create a new collaborative unit please contact OpenLearn being sure to provide as much detail as possible about its aims and objectives.
